People have commented to me that I look like I do yoga so I decided why not try it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>BYV:<\/em><\/strong><em> What benefits did you notice right away from practicing?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>STEPHANIE:<\/strong> I slept better! I felt calm and relaxed after class.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>BYV: <\/em><\/strong><em>What long term benefits have you experienced?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>STEPHANIE: <\/strong>I feel AHHHHHHHSOME! I no longer carry my stress around on my shoulders and neck. Very much enjoying my restful sleeps on yoga days.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>BYV: <\/em><\/strong><em>What is it that motivates you to get your toes on the line as frequently as possible?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>STEPHANIE:<\/strong> I feel like it is the greatest way for me to be the healthy person (physically and mentally) I need to be.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>BYV:<\/em><\/strong><em> Have you used Bikram\u2019s yoga as a form of therapy or rehabilitation?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>STEPHANIE:<\/strong> Not physically, but (nothing against my former therapist) for me it is way better than therapy!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>BYV: <\/em><\/strong><em>What is your favorite and least favorite posture and why?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>STEPHANIE:<\/strong> Standing back bend is not my favorite because it scares me. I love standing head to knee even though it is a work in progress for me.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>BYV:<\/em><\/strong><em> What would you suggest to a new student looking to expand their practice? Were there specific things that helped you along the way? <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>STEPHANIE:<\/strong>Toes on the line! Especially on the days when you really don\u2019t feel like it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>BYV:<\/em><\/strong><em> Have you ever felt like running out of the room? If so, what kept you from acting on it? <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>STEPHANIE:<\/strong> A few times, yes. I tell myself it is only however many more minutes and to hang in there.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>BYV: <\/em><\/strong><em>We would love to hear something personal about you and your yoga. <\/em><strong>STEPHANIE: <\/strong>I feel like it is the greatest way for me to be the healthy person (physically and mentally) I need to be.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>BYV:<\/em><\/strong><em> Stephanie, thank you so much<\/em> for <em>your time, and your yoga practice!!
